Macintosh Version
1. Preparing the Software
1. Preparing the Software Data compression software and data transfer software should be prepared. Vanfu recommends the use of DropStuff and Fetch3.0.3J software, both of which are shareware programs. These programs can be downloaded from the following Websites.

About Shareware
Shareware is software that can be tried free of charge for a set period of time, after which a usage fee must be paid. To try out the software, click “Trial Use” in the dialog that appears after starting up. To register the software, refer to each of the program Websites.

2. Preparing the Data

Data sent to the FTP Server must be compressed, even when the amount of data is small. Compressed files can be produced by dragging and dropping the file or folder that is to be compressed on top of the DropStuff icon. The compressed file will appear on the same level as the original file.

Naming of Compressed Files
1. File names should only use single-byte alphanumeric characters, periods (.) and underbars (_). The use of Japanese kanji characters, hiragana, single-byte katakana, spaces, slashes, and special symbols (machine-dependent characters) will result in changes of characters on the Server, and it may not be possible to confirm the data.
2. If a file is sent that has the same file name as one already in the FTP Server, the file may overwrite the previous file with no warning message. To avoid using the same file name, do not use common names such as “output” or “businesscard”, but instead use names that include your company name and the date.
